Since the Talibans seized control in August, 2021, they’ve implemented a number of limitations, this one being the most recent: girls have been barred from attending schools past the sixth grade and women from universities and other workplace. Women have also been prohibited from using public facilities like gym and theatre.
The limits, according to the authorities, are in place to prevent gender mixing and supposedly to control those who adequately do not drape the hijab.
